Paris’s Grand Palais was transformed into an decked out with ruins and a mural of the Greek sunset. Doric columns, some with deconstructed drums, curved to set the runway’s path. Lace-up sandals, goddess drapery, and plenty of pleats made up the collection itself. Armored bodices and gilded flowers could also be seen throughout, but the most specific references to ancient Greece and its arts were the ionic column-shaped heels and printed registers of red-figure pottery patterns.
